Julep Maven {Review & Giveaway} and a Special Penny Offer!

Although I am a minimalist when it comes to makeup, I love nail polish!  I especially love toe nail polish in the summer to show off while wearing my favorite flip flops and sandals.

I will admit that although I love heading to the nail salon for a little pampering from time to time, having someone else do your nails on a regular basis can definitely get expensive. In order to cut back on some of these salon costs,  my daughters and I love enjoying mani and pedi time together and often make a night out of polishing each other's nails. I had recently heard such great things about Julep and was eager to give their polishes a try.  This review could not have come at a better time.

That being said, let me tell you a little about my experience with Julep Maven.  When you sign up at Julep Maven, you have the opportunity to answer a series of questions which helps Julep pick colors that are just right for you and your style.  Based on my answers, I received the kit called Classic with a Twist.  The box was beautifully packaged and the products were protected with pretty brightly colored paper shreds and tissue paper.  I received a tube of the Best Pedi Creme ever as well as a bottle of Rose (a deep rose pink shade of polish) and Kate (a pretty bright white polish).  The kit was perfect for our girls' night pedicure.  The pedi creme is rich and silky and feels so luxurious when smoothed over the feet.  It also has a yummy and refreshing cucumber smell that is very spa-like.  I have been using it at bedtime each night and it is keeping my feet soft and smooth.  I immediately fell in love with the Kate polish.  It is such a classic, flattering color.  I have been wearing the polish on my toes for about two weeks now and it still looks wonderful with no signs of chipping!  I did apply two coats of the Julep polish before applying a protective top coat.  I am loving it!  Look how pretty:
